Do I have to have the dash cam installed at a shop?
No. Most DDPAI products can be self-installed in 10 – 15 minutes following the included guide. The camera mounts directly to the windscreen with the supplied 3M adhesive and draws power from the car's 12V socket. If you want fully hidden wiring, a car interior workshop can do it for you.
Can the camera record while the car is parked?
Yes, if you add a 24-hour hardwire kit. It switches the camera into parking surveillance mode and records on impact detection (G-sensor) without draining the battery, thanks to a low-voltage cut-off.
Will the camera overheat when parked in the sun all day?
No. Current DDPAI models use a supercapacitor instead of a lithium battery and tolerate roughly -20°C to 70°C — a major advantage in Vietnam's hot, humid climate.
Do I need to buy a memory card separately?
It depends on the version. Some products include a card in the box (stated on the product page). If you buy one separately, we recommend a Class 10 or faster microSD card, 64GB – 256GB from a reputable brand. The maximum supported capacity is listed in each product's specifications.
How do I review the recorded footage?
Three main ways: (1) connect the camera directly to your phone over Wi-Fi using the DDPAI app to view and download footage; (2) remove the memory card and read it with a card reader on a computer; (3) with models that support the 4G Cloud Box, view remotely over 4G.
Is a higher resolution really necessary?
On Vietnamese roads, where licence plates and road signs matter when settling an incident, we recommend at least 2K, ideally 4K for the front camera. The Z50, Z60, Z90 and N5 Pro series all handle this well.
How long does delivery to Hanoi or Da Nang take?
Typically 2 – 4 working days to Central Vietnam and 3 – 5 working days to the North. See the Shipping Policy for details.
How is the shipping fee calculated?
The fee is calculated automatically at checkout: 40,000₫ for orders under 1,500,000₫ and free for orders of 1,500,000₫ or more. If you are in inner-city Ho Chi Minh City or Hanoi and need the item urgently, you can choose 85,000₫ express delivery. See the Shipping Policy for details.
